Modern versus Traditional Quilts

Come and find out what characteristics determine if a quilt is considered to be Modern or Traditional. The word ‘Modern’ typically refers to a current place in time, but in quilting it refers to a style. Sue will share many examples of what makes a quilt Modern, by pointing out the modern quilt principals presented in each quilt. Graphic colors, Improvisational Piecing, Cropping, Minimalism and Scale are just some of the design principals she will cover in her presentation. Handout included.
