Come and find out what characteristics determine If a quilt is considered Modern or Traditional. The word 'Modern' typically refers to a current place in time, but in quilting it refers to a style. Sue will share many examples of what makes a quilt Modern, by pointing out the modern quilt principals presented in each quilt. Graphic Colors, Minimalism and scale are just some of the design principals she will cover in her presentation. Explore ways to combine styles, techniques and colors to create your own one of a kind quilts. Special emphasis is the use of directional fabrics for effective design elements.
